Post subject: uncompress .swf files??

i made a funny flash file to put on my website, i saved it as a swf file, but
forgot to save it as an .fla, when i watched it again, i noticed i made 2
spelling mistakes, is there any way i can uncompress the .swf file and edit it,
or do i have to start over which i really don't want to do because it took 2
hours to make Sad

If it is anything non-trivial (eg if it does not use buttons, or movieclips,
or sound, or script, or shape tweens) then you must start again .. and this
time do NOT forget to save your FLA !!!

I stumbled on this thread looking for the answer to my problem. There is an
answer, but it doesn't explain how.

I have many swf files without any fla originals.

How can I uncompress them?

I need to use them in Acrobat which can't accept compressed movies.

The answer is SoThink SWF Decompiler. It turns swf files back into layered fla files.
