Hello. We are considering adding some Flash headers/footers on our site. We will purchase Adobe Flash CS3, but do I need to have any software running on the server?

Thank you for your help.

Jim

no, unless you're thinking of using PHP or something, then you need to make sure it is supported.

Not at all, it's the CLIENT that must have
the correct plug-in installed on their
browser(s). You have simply to put SWF files
and their HTML containers on the site's FTP.

As dzewards says, if you plan dynamic content
for your header/footer, you have to use some
server side scripting languange as ASP, ASP.NET
or PHP, depending on what your server supports.
