Post subject: image transfer & colors from flash MX to Photoshop

have images designed in flash, but we need to convert the images into photoshop.

trying to get the colors AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE to the original design in flash.

any ideas? we also have illustrator. thanks

well they will never look the same in both on the screen. i have no idea why,
i've been using both forever and now that they are the same company and use the
same color profiles they still don't look exactly the same. use a color swatch
to maybe try and match the colors of two identical hex numbers.

you can over come this by not embedding a color profile at all, Flash doesn't usually handle it right. In PhotoShop, choose Edit > Assign Profile > Don't Color Manage This Document

I have run into the exact problem. Two colors, one in Photoshop (cs2) and the
other in Flash 8 have exactly the same hex # yet the one in Flash is much
lighter in color. I also tried the above suggestion unsuccessfully. Did you
ever find the answer Phatty?

I might have answered my own question. Photoshop profile settings are the key:
edit/assign profile. Because I have a Mac, I switched the color profile in PS
from "working RGB" to "Apple RGB" All the colors now match when I paste them
into Flash.
