need to edit an flv movie with Flash 8 - total newbie

Hi,

I have an flv file on my pc that I need to shorten - it is one section
that was made from a VOB file and it plays without problems.

The edit that I need to make is very simple but how do I do it ?

I am fairly familiar with Adobe Premier but a complete newbie to Flash
8 (or any other version)

Any help would be appreciated.
