Archived from groups: macromedia>flash (more info?)

Greetings,
Please excuse any breech of etiquette...I don't frequent forums and I'm about
as tech savvy as my grandmother. So if you respond, speak slow with small
words. Pretend I'm from another planet and on that planet, I'm retarded.

I have had my "new" computer for just over a year. I cannot install Flash
Player to Internet Explorer in this Visa Home Premium platform.

I have uninstalled it, reinstalled it, even followed some sketchy instructions
about how to look for it in the registry to see if it had been uninstalled (and
it had). Presently, I installed Mozilla Firefox and Flash Player installed to
it without a hitch. But since my web page is created in MS software, I need to
view it in IE...so I need to just have one browser, preferably IE with Flash
Player installed and functioning properly.

I have read many forums, but have yet to come across what will work. And I
mean it...I really do need simple, step by step instructions.

When I try to install the latest version of Flash to IE, it appears to be
doing something, but nothing ever happens, it never completes, and never
installs.

I really really really want Flash Player installed to IE. Can anyone help?
:confused;

I am having EXACTLY the same problem/issue. I wish SOMEONE (from Adobe) would offer help.

I am also experiencing the problem described by cherthejoy and 42n8. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Hopefully it is something simple that we're just overlooking.

Hi,
See in your install/unistall programs in the control panel, if you have more
than a version of Flash Player installed, uninstall them and try to install a
fresh version from adobe.com site.

hope this solve the problem.

The solution of uninstalling Flash does not work for me. I have no Flash
installed, I use Windows Vista, and I cannot install Flash 9. Any other ideas?
