Post subject: animation advice for newbie
Archived from groups: macromedia>flash (more info?)

Hello, I would like to make this complex animation in Flash. You can see an
animated gif version here:

http://www.lightmypump.com/images/pump_anim-4.gif

I think I can do better in Flash but it is challenging for a newbie.

There are 3 distinct parts to the animation, first the impeller must
rotate, second, fluid particles must come out from the center and move towards
the outside following the path of the impeller blade rotation. And thirdly,
once the particles reach the casing wall they move towards the discharge where
they will disappear.

I thought that it might be possible to nestle animations. If I did an internal
animation of the impeller I could have one fluid particles move from the center
to the tip of an impeller blade on a guide motion path. I could then have the
entire impeller rotate. However this means that many fluid particles (one set
per impeller blade) would have to be motion guide tweened on one layer and I
think that is not allowed.

So that's my problem, what's the best way to do this.

Thanks for any help.

J
