Archived from groups: macromedia>flash (more info?)

I'm having a terrible time trying to open flash files. It works fine if I run
the program (Flash MX 2004 Professional) then open the file from inside, but,
if I want to double click a flash file (ex: untitled-1.fla) it will say file
not found and not even open the program. Sometimes it will give me that
message and another that says windows cannot find "filepath\filename.fla" make
sure you typed it correctly...etc. This happens a lot on files that I just
created and if I open flash I can load the file just fine. I searched the net
and the forums and knowledge base at Macromedia and cannot find anything on
this. I have tried this on several computers all having this same issue, I've
tried using the trial version and I am just unable to get this to work. Its
nothing critical but it is nice to be able to double click to open a file Very Happy.
If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Brad

Your .fla may be associated to a zombie which may be corrupted file
association or the leftover of your previous Flash MX installation.
Remove the zombie association.

Or if you don't want to remove, just lower the zombie association to
make Flash MX Pro appear on top.
