Please excuse me if I am in the wrong section of the forums, but I figured this
was the best place to start.

My husband & I like to listen to our local radio station on the web when we
are home. It is one of those sites where when you go to it it you can browse
around & if you want to listen to whats on the air you click on the radio icon.
When you click on the radio icon a small window pops up & it plays what ever is
being played on the raido at the time. We have done this for years with out any
problems. However a week or 2 ago we started having problems. When we would go
to click on the radio icon to listen nothing would pop up. After a few more
tries still nothing would pop up. At first we assumed it was a problem on the
radio stations end so we did nothing. After a day or 2 & we still werent having
any luck. I contacted the radio station & asked if their site was down & was
informed it wasnt. So now that left us to believe the problem was on our end.
We booted up our other computer & tried to bring up the radio station & it
worked fine on that computer, just not on our main one.

We have done nothing different to the computer from the last time we were able
to listen to the radio & now, when we can not. We have not deleted or adding
anything. I have also discovered that a few web sites where when you are on the
main page & it tells you to click the link to enter the site, we are unable to
enter as well.

We have deleted Adobe Flash Player 9 & reinstalled it hoping it would help,
but we are still unable to access some things like were able to 1-2 weeks ago.

We are pretty good on computers but we dont know programming etc, so any help
you can give us would be greatly appreciated. Please just give your suggestions
in laymans terms & step by step instructions would be appreciated.

BTW we have version 9,0,124,0 installed

Thank you in advance
Mz

Maybe there is problem with this popup window. New Antivirus program? Or maybe
browser have updated itself automatically and now have some popup killer
installed. Try with some other browser...

If I have many (i mean many) browser windows open, flash sometimes quits
playing music. And when I close a couple of windows, it starts to play music
again.

We are using Windows XP use IE version 7.0.5730.11

We have not downloaded anything directly before or after we started having
this problem. 1 day it worked, the next it didnt. Was very odd. I noticed it
while my husband was at work & even considered that he might of deleted
something or turned something off, so when he came home I asked him & he hadn't.

After looking thru the forums I have noticed that I am not the only one with
this problem. A few other people have posted about the same thing & they have
yet to get a response or any help.

Any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.

If you have upgraded your browser recently that could be the issue. I'm
currently having trouble getting a flash ad click thru (JavaScript) action to
work in IE7 but it works in IE6 and Gecko browsers. try downloading Firefox,
it's a much more compliant browser than IE.

We have not upgraded our browser recently, we have not installed, deleted or
upgraded anything on our pc at all.
However I followed your suggestion & downloaded Firefox & tried that. With
firefox when I go to the radio stations web page it doesnt even see the icon
to click so you are able to listen to the radio.
I went thru the settings for Firefox & put in the address for the radio
station to allow pop ups from them & still nothing.

Anymore suggestions ?

I've had som problems playing flash material on some PC at work. A solution was:

Download and install the new JAVA version;

http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_xpi.jsp?locale=en&host=www.java.com:80

Then download and reinstal the Flash Player

Just to be sure, restart system

Hope it works out!!
