Post subject: Import thumbnails into stage
Archived from groups: macromedia>flash (more info?)

Hello,

I would like to import thumbails into the stage. The result is, that the
thumbnails are much smaller than the originals. If I draw the thumbnails after
importing into the stage from the library into the stage I get the correct
size. since I have a big number of thumbnails the manual way is not acceptable.
Does anybody know how I can import the thumbs in original size into the stage.

Thank you for your help.

didi.thinkpad;
Is the onstage size correct if you drag them onstage from the library?
For some reason flash takes resolution into account when images are imported
directly onstage--try adjusting the resolution to match screen before
import. -Tom Unger

Thank you Tom for your answer. Yes if I draw the picture from the library, it
shows the correct size. Strange is that the import works fine with thumbnails
with 72 dpi but it does not work with thumbnails with a resolution of 300 dpi.
If there is still advice with 300dpi pictures I would be glad, because I
wouldnt have to convert all the fotos into a lower resolution. If not I am
going to convert the fotos.

Thans again
Didi

You could import the imagery directly to the library and then drag
onstage, but if you want to import directly to the stage in the editing
environment, afaik you need to adjust the resolution before hand. Batch
converting the images should be fairly painless... -Tom Unger
