Post subject: Flash crashes IE and Opera

Since sometime in January, Flash has been crashing both my
browsers - Internet Explorer v. 6and Opera v.9.25 and 9.26.
I've tried uninstalling Macromedia Flash and Shockwave Flash
(which is which?), and I've uninstalled and re-installed Opera,
but both browsers keep crashing on Flash websites, such as
Adobe.com and Kingwin.com. Judging by a Google search,
this is common. Is there a fix besides removing Flash?

System: 450MHz PII, Windows XP Pro w/SQL Server,
Visual Studio 2005, ZoneAlarm Security Suite.

It's the PII CPU crashing on the invalid command PSHUFW.
Macromedia finally realizes there's a problem with Flash on
Intel's PII CPU architecture, and it's working on a fix for it in
Flash v. 10, which is now in beta testing. Here's the pertinent
