Hi,
I just installed Flash 8 from Macromedia Studio 8 (on Windows XP), and i keep
getting certain errors when i try to run it.
The installation went smooth, but when i run Flash, it pops up these 3 errors:
- Flash XML parsing fatal error: Invalid document structure, line: 1, file:
\Screen Types\Form\catalog.xml
- Flash XML parsing fatal error: Invalid document structure, line: 1, file:
\Screen Types\Slide\catalog.xml
- The default screen types Form and Slide are missing from the configuration.
Please restore them by reinstalling
After those, flash does start, but some parts of the interface are missing,
such as the toolbox.
I've tried repairing and reinstalling, but with no success.
Can this be solved? >> Stay informed about: Flash 8, XML fatal parsing error |

Ok, i've located the missing files in the InstallDirectory\First Run, and
replaced them. It stops giving the errors now, but the toolbox buttons are
still invisible (no icons, and unclickable).
Is there really no one else who encountered this problem? It's frustrating. >> Stay informed about: Flash 8, XML fatal parsing error |
