Hello all,
I am a long-time FreeBSD user and lately I have been wondering why there is no
native release of Flash player/plugin for FreeBSD? Only supported operating
systems are Windows (doh), Linux and OS X? Now that all videoclips on the net
are moving to services like youtube.com and video.google.com which use
flash-based player, it would be nice to have it installed.

Does anyone know if Adobe has any plans releasing Flash player for FreeBSD or
other BSD-operating systems ever?
Has anyone tried creating Flash player from the scratch by reverse engineering
the operation of Flash player on some supported operating system?

Thanks,
Petri Simolin

Thats a good question.
Im a web designer and the worst thing Ive never seen is why I can not visit my
flash projects under FreeBSD. I can swear *BSD Community is huge enought for
being considered.:sad;
My hobby is to help and support for PBI progress (PC-BSD Installer), an
Operating System based on FreeBSD.
Im sure I will not be the only one that will be VERY happy if we see a native
Flash Player for our webbrowsers.

I have also the same questions about Adobe Acrobat Reader and other programs
that its not just for us, expand all applications to BSD community will help
Adobe also...I believe so!

Thanks to all.

Hello,

I am a FreeBSD user too and I wonder if there is any official reason why Adobe can not have a FreeBSD version of Flash browser plug-in?
