Now that Adobe has assimilated Macromedia, I cannot find help anywhere on how
to deactivate Flash 8, Dreamweaver 8, Fireworks 8, etc., on my Mac, to move it
to another machine. There used to be a "transfer/deactivate" option under the
help menu, but it is no longer there under any of the applications. All I can
find on Adobe's website is for Adobe applications (i.e., Photoshop, etc.) and
it basically says to run the uninstall program to deactivate the licenses. But
there is no uninstall program for these Macromedia applications that I can
find.
I had to rebuild my machine earlier this week, and couldn't deactivate the
Macromedia licenses (so I just formatted it and installed the OS again), but
when I reinstalled, sure enough, it required me to activate them. I really
don't want to lose my "count" of activations when I have to rebuild, or when I
eventually get a new computer... Anyone have any idea how to deactivate these
latest Macromedia apps on a Mac?
Thanks,
jdb
